The Hohentwiel Steaming with style
A proud paddle steamer which has lived life to the full. Completed in 1913 by the Swiss ship-yard Escher Wyss & Co and launched in Friedrichhafen, the Hohentwiel was decommissioned in 1962 and for a long time served as a clubhouse and restaurant. It even came close to being broken up for scrap in the 1980s. The Hohentwiel! Scrapped! But before we get hot under the collar again, it fortunately escaped the scrap-yard. And you can therefore give yourself the extraordinary treat of cruising on the azure waves of Lake Constance on the last working steamship on the lake. Right from the quay next to the hotel.
The Hohentwiel continues to offer passengers wonderful round-trips and themed tours.
